These collaborations ensure Mu Delta Zeta remains deeply rooted in Central Texas, with service that is both strategic & heartfelt.

In Bell County and the Greater Killeen/Fort Hood area, Mu Delta Zeta Chapter is committed to making measurable impact that brings our national commitments to life:

March of Dimes

  • NICU baskets & layettes: 83+ new mothers supported through donations.
  • March for Babies: Raised over $30,000, including hosting the 2025 Killeen March that generated $18,000 plus.

American Cancer Society

  • Formed the largest team in the local Breast Cancer Walk.
  • Raised nearly $5,500 through Making Strides for the Cure and Relay for Life to support cancer research.

Veterans & Military Support

  • Coordinated 11,000 tributes annually through Wreaths Across America.
  • Partnered with youth auxiliaries for parade participation and wreath placement/pickup.
  • Supported homeless veterans through Stand Down events serving 200+ individuals.

Education & Scholarships

  • Awarded $61,000+ in scholarships to 61 area graduates.
  • Hosted youth leadership workshops and engaged auxiliaries in service learning.
  • Strengthened school partnerships with teacher appreciation drives, resource fairs, and performances.

Civic Engagement

  • Facilitated voter registration drives, forums, and leadership training.
  • Reached over 50 youth with civic awareness and leadership programming.

Community Service & Health Advocacy

  • Promoted maternal health awareness through Black Maternal Health advocacy and cultural events.
  • Advanced domestic violence, heart health, and mental wellness initiatives reaching both women and youth.
  • Participated in Global Service Day, multicultural programming, and local family support efforts.
